The Blaufränkischland Marathon takes you 42 km from the red wine village of Deutschkreutz through the winegrowing villages of Neckenmarkt, Horitschon, Unterpetersdorf and Girm, a district of Deutschkreutz, before returning to the start/finish area in the Deutschkreutz school park. Along the way, you will be surprised by the partly flat, partly hilly landscape, which is very varied with some challenging climbs and fantastic views.
At a total of 13 gourmet stations along the marathon route, you will have the opportunity to taste the excellent wines of local winegrowers and enjoy typical regional delicacies and specialties. Mineral water, still water and grape juice are also available. Most of these enjoyment stations are located in the wineries in the respective local area, many of which impress with cozy courtyards, elegant tasting rooms or beautiful panoramic terraces. Some enjoyment stations are also located in the middle of the vineyards in beautiful panoramic locations. Don't miss out on a short break here with a good glass of wine!
On the longer routes between the villages, classic refreshment stations also provide you with still water and iso-drinks to ensure that both the fastest runners as well as fun and pleasure runners get their money's worth at the Blaufränkischland Marathon!
